Eds Night

it was...great. =) im not saying it's a flawless performance but it was relatively good in my opinion and it's a bittersweet feeling now that's it's all over. the whole atmosphere was sweet. throughout the performance, many were feeling nervous and all, but we all pulled through. as one. =) it's nice to know that the efforts hadn't all gone to waste.

yesterday night, i felt that i was truely happy after a long while. =D

we were supposed to meet in school at 8.30am. after a bit of slacking about we went to find places to start our practices. at 10am, i went off for the uk briefing. by the time i went to the auditorium it was kind of lunch time. me, denise and yeetien bought macdonalds for the people involved in the "i want you back" dance. hah. cuz mi n yeetien were such sloowww walkers, we took half an hour to get back, leaving everyone half an hour to devour the almost cold food. heh. and than we had our technical rehearsal. as we mostly handled more than one item, we were all stripping backstage. =P yepz. and by the time the rehearsal was done, we were chionging the make up on. haha. and then the afternoon audiences arrived and we got on with the concert. was kinda nervous so before an item there was a lot of hugging and encouragement involved. haha. my mum, grandma, bro and cousin were amongst the 100+ audiences. dey seemed to enojy the concert though. not sure about the rest. =)

after the concert we had our dinner. some of them were sharing packets of rice so that dey wun b fat. but ppl like me and yeetien smartly had one for ourselves and i was so full. >< bleah. [ 4gt 2 mention tt i felt n looked fat in the costumes bt im over with complaining about it.] haha. and then we had a briefing from mr brian. afterwhich, he most casually told us that the audience would be let in in 3 mins time. and there was chaos as we were all running off to the changing rooms or the music practice room. and then the performance started. i went to wait the changing room while passion of juliet was going on. the audience was so responsive. dey were laughing at so much stuff. unlike the earlier audience who were mainly made up of parents. the changing room's lights were off n the door was closed. i was leaning against it to catch wad people were saying and the door vibrated each time to other door opened. how annoying. but nvm. i tink passion of juliet was pretty good. then it was follwed by the remaining items. after the interval, i went to sit at the back row to watch it. yep. i tink slsd was done well considering that they started preparing only recently. then was the encore by atlantis princess. i hope it wasn't just us fellow eds members shouting encore. haha. =P but the dance was cute anyway. =) when the dance was ending, we all went to the stairway and prepared to go onstage to bow and all. yep. and that eventually marked the end to our performance. several of us cried tears of joy.

this is our first concert. this is the last time we get to work with our sec 4 seniors. this is something that really bonded every single one of us. we have been through so much. endured all the pain and exhaustion that came with the trainings. =) it paid off well. this concert is over but our frenship will stay for a long long time. the memories will stay. I LUV EDS. =) yea. tt sums up the night...a couple of thank yous/credits. (not that many might read this)

-the MCs. Michelle and Melody. hah. i heard you 2 were funny? well.thanks for stalling for time while ppl change. =)

-backstage ppl. cldn't have done it without you pushing the "ship" and putting on the makeup and finding lost props and costumes. =D
-teachers in charge and mr brian and mr chia. thx mr ken fer stalling for time before first step. thx mr brian for putting in as much effort into this performance as we did. mr chia for the technical help you provided. =)
-eds! rock on! we are still a pretty bunch of people even with thick makeup. haha. =)


shall mention a little about the fact that i din do well for the semester and the results in the report bk was terrible. bt shall work harder nxt half of the year. =) uk trip is drawing nearer. im excited bout it. yay. things there cause a bomb though. and btw, as usual, im bombarded with tons of hmwk. which i cant seem to get started on as yet. oh well.

hmm. it's been a while since i blogged.
For the past 3 days, i have been staying back after school to support my class for the basketball matches. i think all the players did quite well. and by a stroke of luck and some skill, our class was in top 4. =) congrats to those players. our guys did relatively okay. shall jia you. hah. hmm...i think interclass games can cause tension between different classes and people >< but i guess it'll blow over. =)

erm...what else...o ya. had geog test yesterday. im so relieved now that it's over. haha. =) it din go well but i can't be bothered to brood over it. i hardly bothered to study >< so i have no complains if i dun do well. i've promised to strive hard for the next semester though. =)

had eds full dress rehearsal today. pretty chaotic. people we squeezing about changing rooms and getting ready for their next items. we haven't rehearsed our dance for one week. aye. the dramas were okay. o well, i really hope that the concert will go well. =)

yay. tmr is the last day of the semester. like WOW. ain't it fast? half a year had past even before i noe it. i have been in upper sec for half a year. seriously, now that i think back, it doesn't feel special. when i was in lower sec, i thought of what it was like to be upper sec cuz dey all look like big old ppl but i dun feel different. hah. nt tt im a child at heart but it's really just the same. and i feel like half a year passed without me having accomplished anything. kinda pathetic? i've just been idling it away. haha. bleah.

anyway, the holidays are coming. i'm going UK for the third week. yippee. rather excited i guess. haha. den there's 2h class chalet in the last week. yepz. i've gt tons of hmwk too so i prob hafta TRY and start workin on it b4 the fourth week arrives. hah. and there are gna be nice movies to watch. n finally no more tests. ahah. can't wait.

kaez. nuw im gna go write mr lu some letter. it was an assignment tt he gave during the march hols and it's due...tmr. hah. i have no idea what to write at all. shall just crap a lil. oya. my hotmail cannot sign in and i've got 101 msgs to delete. aye. gtg nuw. byeaz. =)

i haven't blogged in forever since my com was spoilt and i was too busy with eds stuff and tests.
i'm left with one geog test on coming wednesday and i'll be free. =)
kaleidoscope went better than expected so i'm pretty happy about it. =) my days are currently packed with eds sessions. hah. i really hope there will b full house for the eds concert. i have finished selling my share of tickets. =) I really hope that more people will come...o well...here are the details:
